On Wednesday July 6, 2011 an extremely friendly Pit Bull came up to me at a
convenience store at Medical Drive and Horizon Hill. He is white with black
spots has a collar but no tags and is not microchip-ed. I cannot believe he
was "dumped" as has been well cared for. Clean, almost/possibly overweight,
nails recently trimmed, no fleas. He refused to eat for 5 days, which tells
me he really misses his owner. He shows no signs of aggression towards
people or other animals, but does not respond to the command of "heal" when
on a leash. I put an ad in the local newspaper (but did not indicate he was
Pit)- put a listing on Fido Finder - checked with apartment complexes in
area where I found him and continue to check ads for lost dogs.
