My son, Brandon, moved from Florida to Oklahoma to live with his dad so he could go to school. He knew very few people when he moved there aside from family so he got a little dog, Buster. Buster is part Chihuahua and part Jack Russell. Brandon got Buster when he was only 6 weeks old and has had him for about 1.5 years. On February 12, 2014 Brandon left for school early in the morning and did not retun until late that night as he had to go to work after school. When he came home his little dog was gone. Buster is a digger so it is our assumption that he dug a hole and escaped under the fence. Brandon is having a very difficult time focusing on school because he is really worried about his dog. When he was 10 years old our Schnauzer ran away and Brandon refused to have his birthday until we found the dog, which we did. He is very compasionate about animals and I know he is hurting not knowing what has happened to Buster. From Florida there is not a lot I can do. I did do a google earth search for his father's home, wrote down all the streets within the vicinity, researched each home owner and called as many as I could find phone numbers for. I also recommended that Brandon place a flyer in his mailbox next week asking that the mail carrier notify him if she sees his dog. I have also posted on this site. If anyone has any other recommendations of things I can do from Florida to help my son in Oklahoma please let me know. Thank you.
