My Dog, buddy, bestie, Pebbles was stolen from our balcony about a week ago. After listing her on Lostmydoggie.com I called my friend whose husband was a patient of mine and also a Veterinarian. She asked me if there were any cameras around where I live and I said I thought there were. She told me to hang up with her and call the police which I did immediately. When the police arrived I showed them the lost my doggie.com flyer that the site made up for me. The officer called animal control and using the discription on the flyer , Animal Control was able to confirm that they did in fact have her there. She was terrified by the experience and shaking violently for three days, so the volunteer at Animal Control explained the could not touch her and scanned for a chip several times, which she does have, but it malfunctioned and was unreadable. The relief I felt when she said yes it’s her, she is here, we’ll I don’t have words. We took her home and got her cleaned up and in a few days she seemed more like herself. I truly believe that without lost my doggie.com, my friend’s help and the police being able to reach out with the description given on this website she wouldn’t be laying peacefully in my lap right now. Thank you so much! We have our (almost 18 yr old) baby back. The not knowing was the hardest part and of course I didn’t know if someone took her to harm her and it was all I could think about until I heard those words. We have her. Thanks again, so much.
