My dog Sprocket was missing for about 12 hours or so. He was found the next morning a short distance away in a nearby neighborhood approximately a half mile away. The homeowner called animal control to retrieve him and they took him to a nearby humane society. Thankfully by the time I posted on LostMyDoggie, an employee at the shelter saw our post, then sent us a picture of Sprocket, asking if he was ours.
