SRC helps all three breeds of schnauzers, Mini, Standard, and Giant. Our membership covers a five state area (NC, SC, TN, VA, and GA). We help endangered canines by giving them loving foster homes where they are evaluated for a minimum of 2 weeks after they are fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter after a thorough exam by one of our professional vets. Often blood panels are done to assure their medical condition and then fecal and other necessary medical needs are addressed as deemed needed by our vets. Dentals are often done and several dogs have had vision restored when juvenile cataracts caused blindness. Then these wonderful dogs are adopted to families that have gone thru an application, vet reference and home visit process. Our profession Placement Team works diligently to place our rescued dogs in the best possible adoptive homes so that they may have bright and happy futures. SRC also strives to educate the public as to the importance of healthcare for all canines

Proud Pet Parent Of:
As the Director of SRC, I have two adopted schnauzers that were rescued from SRC. Their names are Boo-Boo and Buddy. My beloved Chewie, who recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge and was my reason for this rescue passed at 14 years of age. He was everything at schnauzer should be and more! I work on in his loving memory! Also in the family is Suzie, a long term foster=chile and the only little girl. Suzie is an epileptic toy poodle that is now an honorary schnauzer. She is 11 years old.
