Rottweiler (possibly a mix) was found in Flowery Branch with some sort of chemical burn all along down her back. She was rescued from the county animal shelter. She is approx 3 years old and is in need of a good loving home. She is very friendly to people, gets along good with my 2 maltese but is not doing well with cats. (She wants to play a little too rough) As of 6/25/11, she is taking antibiotics and is healing very well. She will have a scar on her back but picture is reflecting where the vet shaved her fur to expose any damage she may have so she could be treated.

Just wanted to mention that there have been reports of a certain flea and tick treatment that is causing the same sort of injury that this pup has. It isn't the first photo I've seen with that type of burn, and it was attributed to the flea/tick treatment. I want to say it was a Hertz product but I can't say for sure (I don't remember offhand)...might be worth looking into.

Update, We still have this Rottie, She has recovered fully. She must have been a victim of abused because of how timid she truly was. She was afraid of everything coming at her. I Do still need to find her a forever home though. If anyone is in the Hall County, GA area. She is truly a sweetheart of a companion who desires to be the only dog in the family. She loves being inside and is house trained. She loves attention and tries to fill the role of a lap dog when she can get away with it :) But she listens very well.
