Around 10:30am this morning I found a Rottweiler on Paxton Church Rd. &
Progress Ave. in Harrisburg. Very thin, very frightened, very hungry. After
feeding and bathing him we spent hours on line looking for a post by the
owner to no avail. We took him to the shelter nearest to where he was found
rather then nearest to where we live in hopes he was local and most likely
the place where his family will look for him. He looks more like a Rottie
Mix but I can't be certain. Sweet, gracious, well behaved dog. I called
everyone I know to see if they could take him until I found the owner but
we all have lease stipulations that do not allow pets. He can be found at
the Harrisburg Humane Society on Grayson Rd. (Pennsylvania)- easily
googled. I'm worried because I don't know how many days they hold them
until they are considered adoptable.
