I just had a very sweet beagle mix puppy wander into my garage. Having 3 
cats and a dog already I can't keep him. I posted 20 flyers around my 
neighborhood and no one has called. I fear he was dropped off by his 
owners. He is beautiful and has a great dispostion. Help???

I would recommend listing the dog on the following websites, as well as
putting up flyers around your neighborhood, and calling local shelters to
report the pet you found:

I'd strongly recommend taking the pet to any veterinarian and asking them
to scan for a microchip.  Most vets will perform this service free of
charge and if a microchip is found, it is the quickest way to locate the owner.

I also suggest that you contact your local newspaper and ask them to run a
free "found" ad, since most papers will do this as a free service to the
community.  While many people are reluctant to bring a lost pet to the
animal shelter, often it's the best way for an owner to find their missing
pet.  If you can't bring the pet to the shelter, at least contact them to
ask if they will allow you to post the pet on their website's lost & found,
and/or if they have a log they keep for people who call in to report lost
and found pets.

I commend you for taking in the lost pet and keeping him/her out of harm's way.
