A beautiful young male Treeing Walker Coonhound wandered onto our property 2 weeks ago. He
had no collar and is not microchipped. We put signs up all over our town, and posted his picture on
our local CraigsList. We haven't heard a peep. We already have two large dogs, and truly cannot
afford a third. The Vet says that he is likely a year old, and very healthy. He is not neutered,
however, and he had no inside manners when he found us (we think he belonged to hunters, and
stayed outside 24/7). Now he sits for a treat, knows his name, and is almost totally house-trained.
He's a very smart dog with lots of energy. He's heart worm negative, and we paid for him to get a
rabies vacc. and dewormed. While he has been living at our home, he has been loved, well-fed, and
been taken on runs (which he absolutely loves). He's slowly getting accustomed to being on a leash.
It's very important that this dog go to another loving, forever home. We have no interest in giving
him to someone who will just leave him outside chained to a tree, and only used as a hunting dog.
Only a true animal lover who will take the time to continue to train him and provide a loving home
