Boomer is a 4 year old male Husky-mix who weighs 65 lbs and is tremendously loved and missed. Boomer is sweet and gentle but is extremely scared and lost since it was his first visit to Thomasville, GA and he is unaware of his surroundings. Boomer has bad allergies and skin problems, he needs medications and requires a special diet. He is also allergic to fleas and need his monthly flea preventative. Boomer was wearing a red collar with no tags but he is microchipped. Boomer was lost while traveling from Florida to North Georgia when we stopped to visit a friend in Thomasville, GA on 6/26. We had only been there about 5-10 minutes when I realized the gate was not completely closed and Boomer and my other dog had wondered across the street into the neighbor’s yard. The neighbor fired a gun at them and Remedy returned to me and Boomer has not been seen since. We have spent most of the last 4 weeks in Thomasville, GA talking to neighbors, posting flyers and signs and searching for Boomer with no luck. Thomasville Animal Control/Humane Society was made aware of Boomer’s disappearance and have been on the lookout for him. We have created a facebook account Missing Boomer to aid in our search and posted a lost ad in the local Thomasville newspaper. Boomer disappeared on 6/26 from Old Cassidy Road @ County Line Road and was spotted on July 4th on Old Cassidy Road. Boomer has since been seen on N. Pinetree Blvd around E. Clay Street and has several possible sightings over the last couple weeks in this area but there is also a Husky who gets out in this area constantly and she has been confused for Boomer on several occasions. Boomer is a member of our family and tremendously loved. We miss Boomer and are extremely worried about him. We are offering a $500 Cash Reward for assistance with his safe return. It is very hard, not being from the local area, to search for a missing dog and any help we can get is more than appreciated.
