My little sister (24 yearsold) took on the responsibility of watching her Pastor's yorkie "Reesie"
while he took a family vacation. While she was at work, I let the dogs (my sheltie, her pomeranian,
and Reesie the yorkie) run in the backyard. While the three of them were playing and doing their
business, Reesie found the only hole in the new fence and escaped. I found her down the road
and brought her home. I couldn't find any breaks/holes in the fence, but i reenforced the doors
just in case. The next morning she got out again. I searched every street, neighborhood,
veterinarian, groomer, and humane society for her. I made signs for every streetlight, stop sign,
or stoplight nearby. The owners drove overnight to help with the search. The next morning,
around 5am, I drove through the neighborhood, and continued looking until about 2pm. I
received calls, texts, and emails in regards to Reesie. Reports of her being spotted down the road
yesterday, and whatnots. However, I received a call at 5am directing me to her location, the
shoulder where she was hit. My sister still blames me. "It is my fault" "she got out before, why
wouldn't she get out again. The guilt hurts me..
