Reunited Dog
I was referred to LostMyDoggie.com by Best Friends, a local shelter. So, I came here, and I'm glad I did. Within an hour of signing up for phone calls and faxes to local vets, etc, I listened to the phone call when it went out. So did a lot of other people; we got THREE phone calls about a dog that looked like ours running around the general area. It turned out one of the calls was about two completely different but similiar looking white poodles. But my husband and I were amazed at the area the phone calls covered.
We were able to narrow down the neighborhoods where our poodle mix puppy wandered into, and later in the evening (11:00 pm) my husband found our lost dog! Some of it was due to the helpful phone calls from observant people in the area. If he hadn't found Baxter, our dog, that night, I cannot tell you how grateful we were that we KNEW local shelters, vets, etc were getting the word about our terrified dog.
If our dog gets out again, we know where we're going to go for alerts. Just *being here* and available is a great thing.
